AP sue Stores for Obama Photo Related
The Associated Press (AP) sued several stores over the use of Barack Obama’s image titled ‘Hope’ which was created by artist Shepard Fairey. Fairey use AP photos without permission to create an image of Obama and then sued by the agency for copyright infringement. The case has been resolved.
But the AP said the use of these images is still found on the product T-shirt store Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom and Zumiez. AP Obama believes the use of these images is a violation of copyright photos done deliberately and openly.
Agreements
A spokesman said the use of this free photo debasing work of journalists. Therefore, the AP sent a legal case against the three chains with a number of compensation claims that are not mentioned. A spokesman for Nordstrom said the company aware of any lawsuit. Read the rest of this entry »
Session of the Star Wars Copyright Dispute
Supreme Court of England begins a three-day trial that will decide the copyright owner of uniform forces used Stormtroopers in Star Wars in 1977.
A British designer Andrew Ainsworth claimed he was entitled to produce and sell a replica of the uniform because it was he who created the original design.

However, Star Wars director George Lucas insisted he was the owner of the copyright legal stormtrooper.
Andrew Ainsworth created the white helmets and uniforms stormtrooper in the form of two-dimensional image.
